A Good Week

Contrary to a recent post, I’ve been doing much better lately. There was a combination of stresses and frustrations, but once those die down, everything winds down to normalcy again. In outline form, why this week’s much better than the last:

  • Easter brunch with Chris, Mom and Dad in the Eagle’s Nest the Indianapolis Hyatt. I was in a mood, but I was happy to get away from Purdue and see everyone.
  • A very productive week at work. I’ll be writing the entire idea behind my project for the ECN newsletter, and will be sure to cross-post here.
  • I met with PSG, and came away knowing that I am allowed to buy anything that contributes to the theme of the film, as long as I show them what I bought afterwards so that they can make sure they don’t want any. On a side note, my three films will now rock again.
  • I met with someone who will most likely run for office in PUMUG’s elections in two weeks. This person has fantastic ideas, and can lead the group into great directions next year. (This is not to say that Justin hasn’t done a great job, but as he’s not planning to run again, I’m excited to see interest in the upcoming year.)
  • I met with my RA’s for this summer, where I will begin my position as Staff Resident at Shreve Hall. Very exciting times, and a great group to work (and learn) with.
  • One huge sigh of relief in the mail:
    Dear Matthew,

We are delighted to inform you of your admission to Purdue University’s Graduate School. Congratulations!

The Graduate School eagerly anticipates your arrival on campus. We look forward to serving you as you engage in a variety of learning and discovery opportunities on the way to your degree. Best wishes and welcome!
On a side note, I’m showing Vertigo Saturday night at Owen. 10pm, free snacks, totally free. Here’s to a good weekend…
