I was afraid this wouldn’t work, but it appears to work just fine as long as you treat your Exchange account as a straight IMAP account (with Purdue, at least). These settings worked for me:
- Server Type: IMAP
- Server Name: exch.itap.purdue.edu
- User Name: your shortname
- Email Address: shortname@exchange.purdue.edu
- Use secure connection (SSL): checked (port changes to 993)

I’ve been using this for a while (I’m on DSL via resNet, so the SSL connection isn’t required). About a month ago, I started getting this error:
However, the mail is still retrieved and I can read and send mail.
Thanks for posting this. I was using exchange.purdue.edu for my server and it suddenly stopped working and this fixed it.
